This is the second year of the Diploma qualifications.

You will be developing your knowledge and understanding of the health and fitness industry through vocational, project based learning in the community combined with theory and professional practice.

Great facilities

The exercise science and physiology lab has the most up to date equipment in the Top of the South Island and as a fitness student you have your own gym onsite. You will also use facilities such as Saxton running track, Results Gym, local pools and squash courts, to experience health and fitness in the community. During the programme you will enjoy paddle boarding, kayaking, mountain biking, white water rafting and adventure racing.

Following the level 6 diploma it is also possible with another year of study to complete the AUT Bachelor of Sport and Recreation on the Nelson campus or go onto teacher training.
